When your pet is no longer with you a portrait will keep them close to your heart. A painting preserves the memory of a special pet.
How it works
1. Choose a photograph of your pet. It should be a good likeness of your pet. Upload the photo and name of your pet. Extra photographs are helpful. We currently allow uploading two at checkout. If you would like to provide more, you can reply to your order confirmation email with the additional photos.
2. Tell me about your pet. I love painting people’s pets and knowing more about your pet is inspirational. It helps me to reach a flow state and get into a creative zone. My paintings are a unique representation of your pet. My intention is to capture the essence and personality of your pet.
3. Choose a size (inches). Shipping is additional and will be calculated at checkout.
4. Choose a colour theme. If you would like bright colours in place of true to life colours of your pet please specify this option and the colours you would like.
5. A sketch will be prepared for approval. I will prepare a sketch and send you a copy for your approval. Changes can be made at this point.

About the Artist
Theresa has always been an artist. Self taught, she began drawing as soon as she could hold a crayon. Growing up in the small town of Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia afforded Theresa lots of time to develop her craft by exploring art for hours on end. Beginning with pencil sketches and coloured pencil drawings, she moved on to watercolour and in more recent years discovered acrylics. Her signature bright colours and highly saturated paints capture the essence of varied subject matter. Her sought after personalized portraits of cats and dogs are collected and treasured one of a kind works. Much like her personality, Theresa’s work is detailed oriented, yet at the same time has a whimsical and heartwarming nature. She shares her valley home with 4 cats and her partner.
